About Sally

I am social work researcher and teacher. My interests are in child and family social work, social policies for children and families and childhood studies. I am director of CASCADE Children’s Social Care Research and Development Centre. CASCADE aims to promote research informed practice and practice-informed research. I am currently researching adoption support in the Wales Adoption Cohort Study and social worker-child communication in the TLC: Social Workers Talking and Listening to Children Study. I teach on the MASW and the School’s doctoral programme.
